AJAX not all it’s cracked up to be
Posted on: July 4th, 2007 by perkisetTwo threads at The Cache are focused on how AJAX is both misused and some design considerations around making the right design decisions. This thread discusses how to use “the right tool for the job” when creating an ajax-like application.
Additionally, this thread about an alternate form of remote scripting shows how the contemporary notion of easy “mashups” is rather a canard - and a way around it. It demonstrates a way of remote procedure calls that is both cross domain, and more robust in virtually every browser available today. It also hints at how this technique could be used to huge advantage for black hat efforts.
