Domain Contacts Should Not Change!

Lately, ICANN has been in the process of determining the fate of domain name ownership information. The proposed change aims to improve the privacy of domain registrants by limiting the information required. However noble, we hope the proposal will be tabled to prevent “bad actors” from flourishing across domains.
Many people have to pay a company an extra fee for whois privacy just to try and keep themselves secure or give themselves peace of mind.
Hopefully this will change.

Yeah, cos most surfers always check the WHOIS before they purchase something. What crap. I don’t see why the WHOIS data should be public at all, people should purchase and deal with websites based on the information on the website.
If they don’t list a verifiable contact method then move to the next company, like you are going to say “Oh, this site has no privacy policy and don’t provide a physical address or contact phone numberm, but heh, it’s ok, there is an address in the WHOIS, lets spend with them anyway!”
